From my protégé

I have been working in the church for 3 years now with this year as the 4th and the journey has its ups and downs. One of my ministry methods is to personally mentor young people and young adults and there are some whom I have identified and mentored them not only in ministry and ministerial skills but rather to walk with them through life - sort of like being a spiritual father to them. One of them is who I am proud of because I have seen her growth - from someone who was timid and was not a strong leader to someone who is of influence and taking the lead today not only as a leader but also as a spiritual big sister to the youths.

I mentored her for 2-3 years now and it is my privilege and honor that she allowed me to speak into her life. Watching her grow is like a father seeing his precious little daughter - it just melts your heart. As I am leaving for Ipoh for a year of training, she made this video for me that truly touched my heart. It does seem to be like an eulogy (she probably can use it at my eulogy in future ~ LOL~) but I know she put ALOT of effort into it coming from someone who is not computer savvy. So here is the video that touched my heart and made me smile. After watching this, my heart leapt with joy and I felt like a father at his 5-year old daughter's musical concert and she plays the violin to perfection and before she bows, takes the mic and says, "I love you, daddy" and takes a bow. The feeling the father felt at that moment is the feeling I felt after watching the video. Enjoy!
